NFL Kneeling Controversy Divides Multi-Racial Church

The decision of NFL players and owners to disrespect the national anthem has become a major dividing line in America’s culture war. Most white conservatives have instinctively opposed the protest on civic nationalist grounds, but have remained oblivious to the racial implications of what is going on. The racial nature of America’s political struggle, however, is becoming increasingly obvious, as mega church pastor Ron Carpenter Jr and his wife Hope have discovered.

Carpenter pastors a large multi-racial church, and both he and his wife were forced to apologize after she posted a very mild comment criticizing the kneelers.

From the Christian Post:

Ron Carpenter Jr., who has spent more than 25 years building a 21,000-member multiracial congregation, was forced to apologize to hurt parishioners late Tuesday after his wife made controversial comments online, arguing that NFL players protesting during the national anthem is wrong.

“If you know me at all … you know who I am, what I stand for and my fight for equality for all of us as humans! Right??? So do not dog me out for my video/pic I just posted about the silent protest! It’s wrong!” Hope Carpenter, whose husband leads Redemption Church in Greenville, South Carolina, wrote in a since deleted post on Facebook Sunday.

She then suggested that anyone who doesn’t like America and what it stands for should move. Hope Carpenter also argued that the controversial “take a knee” movement sparked by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, 29, is only dividing the country. Kaepernick began kneeling during the performance of the national anthem last season to protest police brutality and the treatment of minorities.

“Stop thinking about it from your history or race! The NATIONAL ANTHEM IS OUR NATION’s SONG! Yes, there are things in our country that’s wrong, but our country is not to blame! You don’t like it? Move or be a part of the healing of our nation! This only separates and divides more yall!!!!! Rise up church! Where you at??? U hanging out with the complainers??? The mad???? Where u at???” Hope Carpenter continued.

Blacks Christians, including many at the Carpenters’ church, were deeply offended by the innocuous post. Apparently the standard conservative attitude of “America, love it or leave it” is now a form of white supremacy. Mr. Carpenter was forced to make a cringing apology for his wife’s completely reasonable reaction to the disrespectful NFL protest.

“I have given my life to get out of my world, and get into other people’s world and say teach me what it was like to be you. I’ve done this at many racial tables. I had a day in the 1990s where I had five nationalities, five different ethnicities together and said ‘teach me racism.’ I wanted to know what their world was like because unless I know the needs of the community, I can’t properly address it. I can’t properly speak to it. And my entire, and Hope as well, our entire life, body of work has been multiculturalism…I hope and pray that our life’s body of work of knocking on doors, changing communities, millions of dollars raised. Grants written, efforts done, ministries…I hope all that is not called into question over one Facebook post.

Carpenter’s hope that one Facebook post does not destroy the reputation he has made for himself as a multiculti pastor is perfectly reasonable, but it shows how much he and other white Christians fail to understand the situation. The anti-white ideology that non-white Americans are ingesting is merciless. This ideology demands that the lives of white people be ruined over a single “objectionable” comment on social media. This anti-white ideology does not ask for a state of peace and Christian brotherhood, it demands a system of racial hierarchy where whites are at the bottom. It declares that whites are genetically incapable of ever understanding the evil of racism or of expunging it from their own souls, and that the only solution to the problem of racism is to physically replace whites and destroy white identity. This is not the Gospel, this is genocidal hatred of the white race. The pathetic response of the Carpenters shows how clueless white Christians are about what is happening.

This event is current and provocative and with plethora of reaction. But it is most interesting here in this context. The Carpenter meg-church I assume is a subsidiary of the Bobby Jones College from which they emerged from the bottom with their liberal , nouveau riche gospel .

The thoroughly corrupt place have produced scions educated in the multicultural patois , used by Hope Carpenter , which personally I need a multicultural lexicon to interpret. But her condescension notwithstanding has only brought her down to vulnerability and she continues exposed by the vestige of her inherited sound mind , which she should have long ago disowned , that she can persuade the hyenas why she should be eaten. How naïve.

The NFL clothed in the new religion of sport is hardly a custodian of domestic tranquility. These subversive organizations are proving their worth repudiating the majority verdict of the last election and further burdened with grievances political and social they now denounce the validity of U.S. A. , that yes , it is still found wanting . It is our mene tekel , mene tekel Y perasin. But these young athletes , who were once 19th century field hands are the indisputable glory of ” black pow” and racial dominance. Obviously , gratitude is not their long suit.

Actually they are being used for social engineering , extortion and subversion, which is why the NFL , among its affiliates was designed. They are over paid, underworked and overindulged with white adulation . Young white girls covet their short lived grudging affections and the white boy reveres them wearing a tunic glorifying their names and providing free advertisement.

But the churches , who are loath to call a spade a spade , forgive the pun… or not.. are guilty of forgetting that they are no less a penitent at their alter, they should never say anything respecting reason or truth , just how can we serve you more obeisantly ?

The answer : give us everything you have and then die!

As one who abhors all professional sports like nothing else, these stories make me shake my head. Question: “Why do “christians” care about the actions and opinions of the foolish, filthy lost?” Answer: “Christians don’t.” This is why these Carpenters care so much; they are not concerned about God’s glory and proclaiming His Truth at any cost, rather it is their glory for as little cost to themselves. (John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.) Interestingly they share this with the same “sportballers” they criticize. I guess they can’t see the forest for the trees. (Mat 23:12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.)

These Carpenters may be now more aware of the racial divisions within their country and church (that have always been there and will always be there) but it is obvious that they are (and will always be) unaware of the spiritual divide, for to understand the spiritual requires the Spirit. Read 1 Cor 2:6-16.

From the CP article quoted above we read, “Ron Carpenter Jr., who has spent more than 25 years building a 21,000-member multiracial congregation,” Very telling, for the true Church is built by Jesus Christ (Mat 16:18)

Further damage…”I stand for and my fight is for equality for all of us as humans!” What is the role of Christians here in the world? (Jesus says in Mat 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.)

More coals heaped on her head…”She then suggested that anyone who doesn’t like America and what it stands for should move.” Does she mean the America that stands for all those Biblical fundamentals like sodomy, fornication, adultery, lying, stealing, war mongering, whore mongering, feminism, miscegenation, mongrelization, materialism, indebtedness, greed, disobedience to parents, divorce, addictions, gluttony, slothfulness, pride, profanity, and all sorts of idolatry. I don’t live in her America (or any America for that matter), but if I did, I would have moved on a long time ago to a faithful hope in the Kingdom of God.

Carpenter says, “taking a knee…is only dividing the country…” Interesting as I have never seen America so unified as today. America has almost completely coalesced in unshakable solidarity to promote its sins. Americans have never been so united together as “sons of disobedience” (Eph 2:1-3) consistently cooperating with each other to bring the evil one’s work forward. America is not divided but in perfect harmony with itself as with its master. I haven’t heard of such societal unity since Sodom and Gomorrah!

Carpenter keeps going (“The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.”-The Bard), “Stop thinking about it from your history or race”. Uh, Ok…just please let me know whose history and race I should view my circumstance by (maybe as a 21st century ethno-European I should interpret my circumstances as a 17th century ethno-Indonesian!) This is one of many areas where the cultural marxist’s (race denier) fallacious position traps them into a corner. They have to recognize the grievance of the designated victim-race (blacks) while denying the existence of the designated oppressor-race (whites).

Shooting fish in a barrel: Carpenter continues (big surprise), “Yes, there are things in our country that’s wrong, … This only separates and divides more yall!!!!! Rise up church! Where you at??? U hanging out with the complainers??? The mad???? Where u at???” Well one thing that is definitely wrong with America is the state of its educational system (English grammar in particular).

Clement writes, “Blacks Christians, including many at the Carpenters’ church, were deeply offended by the innocuous post.” I think this interpretation of sentiment should have been more accurately described. I’m sure it was meant to read- “Blacks Christians, including many at the Carpenters’ church, were super duper, incredibly, over-the-top, to the moon, shockingly, NAACP, SPLC, ACLU, 6 million deeply offended by the innocuous post.”

Clement writes, “Apparently the standard conservative attitude of “America, love it or leave it” is now a form of white supremacy.” Please allow me to modify this observation-“Apparently all opinions, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors are now a form of white supremacy.” (I’m a stickler for journalist integrity)

Then Mr. Carpenter gets in on the act, “I had a day in the 1990s where I had five nationalities, five different ethnicities together and said ‘teach me racism.” Well Mr. “man of the world” I had years in the 1990’s, while using public transportation, of up to fifty different ethnics forced together with me and I said to them “stop teaching me so much racism, I am not able to learn all that you wish to enrich me with.”

Mr. Rocket Scientist goes on, “I wanted to know what their world was like because unless I know the needs of the community, I can’t properly address it.” Well lets start with the fact that they are all sinners who need the regenerative grace of God’s imputed faith to be justified for salvation” They need to believe, confess, repent. They need to be born-again. They need to cast off their old self and live in the Spirit. (2 Cor 5:17-19 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.) I guess he got that question wrong in seminary.

More…”And my entire, and Hope as well, our entire life, body of work has been multiculturalism…” I think its rather obvious. It surely wasn’t to shepherd the flock (1 Pet 5:2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly) and feed the sheep (John 21:17). Filthy lucre come to mind (1 Tim 3:3)?

Even more…” hope and pray that our life’s body of work of knocking on doors…” Someone needs to tell him that he should have tried knocking on Christ’s door (Mat 7:7-8).

Clement writes, “…it shows how much he and other white Christians fail to understand the situation.” I’d like to rewrite with,” us white Christian Kinists understand the situation perfectly, while white christian evangelcucks haven’t a clue.” (Rom 1:21-25 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.)

Clement cleanses our palate with a nice Port of truth, “The anti-white ideology that non-white Americans are ingesting is merciless.” The manipulated classes just can’t seem to drink enough of the Kool-aid their (((plantation owners))) are eager to offer them.

People like the Carpenters sure seem to make Satan’s work rather simple. (1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.)

BTW, Paul, your commentary is bang on! Blessing.

Can we agree the church has been usurped and the false prophet is already being scattered ?

Surely, these thing s have been foreseen by our Lord in the gospels. The simplicity of the matter is they do not believe the word of CHrist Jesus.

Many years ago I was late for Sunday evening service . The pastor , who was fighting cancer had not followed usual protocol and had begun prematurely. Two elderly ladies alone sat in the middle in a small auditorium usually vivacious with devotees as I occupied my usual place. As I walked in he was reading the second letter to Timothy , “and in those days , they will be lovers of pleasure and not GOd. ” This SUnday was the holiest of days for church and state. It is called SUper Bowl SUnday. “But be vigilant , I shall come like a thief in the night….. “

Paul writes, “Can we agree the church has been usurped and the false prophet is already being scattered ?”
    Doug answers, “Yes!”

The older I get and the more our gracious God lets me see of this world, I know I live in the last of the last days. The churches are not the Church but have become tools to deceive, fleece the flock, and worse, to lead them astray (Mat 24) (2 Pet 2).

I have now come to the point in my witnessing that when asked by genuine seeking people where they can attend services for fellowship and to learn more of God, I sadly say it is better that they avoid these dens of thieves altogether (Mat 21:13). I caution them to be on guard, to be careful of the many wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing (Mat 7:15-23). I have accepted that there is no true Church in my vicinity to refer them and I refuse to advise that these spiritual babes expose their young and precious faith to the pollution and corruption espoused by these false teachers (1 Tim 6:20-21). This is truly sad for me to say. I urge us Believers to pray more earnestly and persistently for our Father’s protection of these vulnerable ones, new in the faith. I lean more now than ever on the promise of Christ to ensure the refuge of His own (John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.)

I advise Christians to avoid churches but rather pour themselves into learning of God from His pure Word, sincere prayer, obedience to the guiding of the Spirit, sacrificial service to family, fasting, and avoiding the ways of this world where possible (1 Tim 4:15-16). Christians must understand that the world is evil, (((the government))) is evil, (((the culture))) is evil, (((the learning academies))) are evil, the churches are evil, the do-gooders are evil, and most people are lost at best. It is so sad to have to teach this, but as truth, it is the means we use to protect ourselves and our kin from the growing wicked waiting to devour us (1 Pet 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.)

Read 2 Tim 3 and trust what is said. Note that St.Paul does not expect us to rely on a church for the source of our endurance but rather Holy Scripture, so that we may be COMPLETE men of God (vs.17). Amen.
