What is nationalism? What is globalism? What should Christians think about these issues?

Following the success of Donald Trump and his “America First” platform, the great political issue of the day has become the conflict between nationalism and globalism. This conflict is not limited to the United States as can be seen from the Brexit vote in the UK and the continuing growth of nationalist movements around the world. Christians must make a thorough investigation of the issue and decide where God wants us to stand.

The Jews deny that Jesus is the Christ. The Incarnation, the Passion, the Resurrection—to the Jews, these are all lies. When Jesus encountered these blasphemers, he wept over their unbelief. It is our duty to imitate Jesus, and to come to understand that the Jewish rejection of the Savior has resulted not only in their own damnation, but in great tragedy for the entire world.

The heresy of Judeophilia is contrary to Scripture and is at the root of the degeneracy found in modern society. Only by rediscovering the Biblical teaching about Pharisaism/Judaism can the Church hope to turn the tide.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” (Proverbs 14:27)

We live in an exceedingly dark era. Though raised in the vilest culture of rebellion, by grace I became an adopted son. This book is therefore autobiographical to a degree. It reflects my own struggles, my own doubts, and the solutions that came to me. I have tried to rely as much as possible on Scripture and on the words of the saints. From these sources I strike out against the snares that almost dragged me to death: idolatry, materialism and atheism.

In the entire history of the Church, no saint can be said to rival Martin Luther’s boldness in proclaiming the truth. At the risk of his own life, he fearlessly denounced the corruptions of the established Roman hierarchy. His faith was such that he could oppose any worldly power that stood in the way of the pure Gospel message. Much to the dismay of contemporary philo-Semites, Luther was equally bold in denouncing the Jews.

In the pages of On the Jews and Their Lies, the reader will find the same care, the same conviction, and the same fire that characterize Luther’s greatest works. The man who stood against the Pope that you might enjoy Christian liberty saw the Jews as a grave threat, not just to our earthly prosperity, but to our eternal salvation.

Martin Luther’s opinion on Judaism is infamous, while the view of John Calvin on the subject is not as widely known. This translation is offered to help change this situation. Luther’s On the Jews and Their Lies is characteristic of the man. It is bold, hyperbolic and emotional, qualities that are found throughout Luther’s writings. Calvin’s Response to Questions and Objections of a Certain Jew is equally characteristic. It is precise, systematic, and intellectually penetrating. Today, when the Church faces the mounting threat of persecution at the hands of the Jews, the insights of this great reformer are invaluable.
